Serving bakers for about 60 years ! 
Its first moulder for baguettes has been produced in 1954.

The Europain 2014 fair will be the opportunity to celebrate it. Special series will be announced for moulders, dividers, manual proofers and intermediate proofers with attractive prices for bakers and dealers.

At the beginning, Merand was specialized in the manufacturing of machinery for French bread, in particular the baguettes.

Quickly, the company looked toward export (its first participation to the IBA fair in 1967) and sold its famous Tregor moulders not only in Europe but all over the world (Australia, Japan, USA, South America, Africa...)

Merand completed its range all over the years, developing automatic groups and lines for baguettes, small breads and French breads in order to fill the productivity and regularity needs of bakeries.

Merand always focused on the respect of the dought and innovation. This requirement allowed the company to be rewarded for innovation (Trophées de l'innovation) and has several patents and exclusive systems such as Alveo+, Pointop, Rollscoup', Nyltex, ModuloClips...). 

In 2008, to accentuate its growth, in particular abroad , Merand took a stategic shift by extending its range to become a specialist in the dough processing for all type of breads (not only French breads). Broadening the range has been possible thanks to international R&D combined with other European manufacturers in strategic collaboration.

Today, Merand has 5 différent lines of products :

  • FlexiLine: French breads (baguettes, small breads, long breads...)
  • KraftLine: Breads from Northem and East Europe (sandwich bread, rye bread, short big bread...)
  • AquaPan line: Mediterranean breads, laminated dough hyghly hydrated (ciabatta, focaccia, rustic breads...)
  • Rolling line: rounded breads with different weigh
  • RheoPan line: latest element of our range, for dough with long fermentation time, highly hydrated in order to keep the honeycombing while taking off the resting time between division and shaping.

Merand will organize several demonstrations in its booth n°4D52 and is inviting every baker in the world to celebrate all together its 60 years anniversary, and to have a drink while tasting the breads made on the booth by the baker demonstrator.
