Our experience

In 1954, we produced our first moulder called Sprint. This was kind of a revolution because at this period bakers were doing this step manually. The challenge was considerable: to reproduce the same shape as if it was handmade.

Our Sprint model was a horizontal moulder with a fixed table extension. Since then, Merand has developed a full range of moulders, dividers, intermediate proofers and automatic lines.

Test your solution... before adopting it

Our Baking Lab covers an area of more than 250 square meters. It is at your disposal to test Merand machinery and automatic lines.
Baking Lab is composed of all Merand machinery, moulders, dividers, intermediate proofer and automatic lines.


  • With the assistance of our master baker, engineers and specialists doing demonstrations days all over the year, you can test there your automatic line. At the Baking Lab, you benefit from the international experience of our team. They will give you advice on products, type of dough, process, for an effective production.


  • If you want to use our MBC, do not hesitate to contact us or your dealer to organize these demonstrations.
  • Today, Merand is able to make moulders and dividers producing all types of breads. Bakers now need to buy a machine that is able to make various types of bread and not a machine doing just only one bread type (i.e. one moulder for baguettes, and another one for small breads...)
  • Our machines can evolve by adding different accessories onto, in order to assure the sustainability of the investment when the bakers' needs are evolving (volume or type of production, wishes for more automatism...)
